Yevgeniy Timoshenko Wins Asian Poker Tour Macau

September 3nd, 2008

Big congratulations are in order for Yevgeniy Timoshenko who has just won the Asian Poker Tour event in Macau. The young US player defeated 257 players to take the $500,000 prize money and of course the title.

The tournament was a little short on players to reach the the $1.5 million guaranteed prize fund, so the APT stepped in to top up the prize pool. Nonetheless, the event which was held at the Galaxy StarWorld Casino was a great success.

The final payouts were as follows:
1. Yevgeniy Timoshenko -- $500,000
2. Joon Hee Yeah -- $250,000
3. Rober Karian -- $126,000
4. Casey Kastle -- $90,000
5. Julio Diaz -- $67,500
6. Quang Nguyen -- $52,500
7. Chong Wing Cheong -- $37,500
8. Michael Pedley -- $26,250

The next stop for the Tour will be in Seoul, South Korea. Dates have not yet been announced but as always we will keep you informed.
